Clock hour change

Post by mvitor » Mon Apr 04, 2016 8:53 am

Have I missed a setting? I was expecting the hour change for BST to be handled automatically by the system in the car. I gave time for the Garmin system, and the radio system, to syncronise the time, however I ended up changing the hour myself. No big problem, but I would have expected automatic setting.

There is a setting which needs to be set to on for automatic time change to happen. Mine was also set to off.

Pretty sure I had set mine but it didn't happen - I think it may have reset the option so I've switched it back on again.

Pretty hard to believe a modern car from Japan can’t cope with the hour change. Mine was set on automatic and it didn’t change, I changed it to manual and it didn’t change, I changed it back to automatic and it still didn’t change.
Am I doing something wrong or do you just have to change it manually?

On mine there is a setting to switch daylight saving on or off (System > Clock > Daylight Saving). I can put up with toggling that twice a year :) .

Perhaps later models are different but clock change on my 2017 model is very simple through the settings menu.

When you go into settings it looks like it should change automatically but in 4 years mine has never done so.
Surprised that while it connects automatically to my phone, I would have thought it ought to be able to sync with that, but it doesn't.

Japan does not have summer/winter time. Perhaps that's why?

But, they do drive on the left so perhaps their manuals should use RH drive dashboard pictures. ;)
