Mirror link

Post by vinney » Sat Aug 17, 2019 5:53 pm

I'm trying to install mirror link via my phone. No issues with phone and it says mirror link is connected. However I can't find an app on the infotainment screen as it says on a Honda download that I've done that there will be an extra menu screen come up when its connected. This doesn't happen. I'm wondering if the infotainment system on the HRV doesn't support mirror link. I think it should as virtually al recent cars do, or am I doing something wrong.
Any advise please

You will need the latest version of Honda Connect version to give full Mirrorlink support. RC8 version.

You also need to have Mirrorlink compliant apps loaded on your phone.

As you mention, there will be an additional home screen available indicated by the twin arrows on the RH side of the screen when Mirrorlink is connected and you can then swipe over to it.

Thanks Steve. Can I update to latest version or is it a dealer type job?

You could do it yourself, I have seen the relevant files you need about on the internet, but the best option is to get your dealer to do, especially if your still in warranty.

Hi

I have just had my 2018 Honda HRV SE 1.5 petrol in for a number of warranty repairs - this is my first Honda and i must say i'm not impressed with the after service so far at my local Honda dealership. One of the items i asked them to check and update was the software so that i could use mirror link with my apple iphone. When i picked the car up they said that the software had been updated to latest version but that i would not be able to mirror link. Does anyone else own a pre 2018 model that they use mirror link with their iphone and would they advise please.

iPhone does not support mirrorlink, only specific android phones.
