Start/Stop Off and Brake Hold On

Post by Turnipmadras » Thu Oct 11, 2018 12:23 pm

Is there anyway for the car to remember your preferences with the Start/Stop and Brake Hold functions? I hate Stop/Start so always turn it off and always turn Brake Hold on - bit of a pain having to press the buttons every time I get in the car.

Sorry, I don't know of a solution to this. But I thought I would add my voice too. I do exactly the same thing and it is irritating to have to do this every time I start the engine. Surely there must be an answer?

Is this really a problem :?:

I get in the car, start it, sat nav if needed, set the heater / fan, music, sunroof / windows, release hand brake set brake hold, and set off.

Perhaps Honda could make it do all that while I'm putting my shoes on to save me time

Perhaps Honda could even add an 'anti-sarcasm' filter!

Start/stop can't be disabled by default as it's the mode of operation used during the standard fuel efficiency tests. I personally think it's useful and my grumble is that it doesn't always work, particularly during the winter months. Situations where the delay of the engine restarting can be inconvenient can be managed by not pressing the foot brake so hard.
