I agree. There's much more chance of a dealer looking into a problem if a vehicle owner can say that they have done their research and checked for various possible triggers.

I’ve posted a couple of fixes which dealers had no fix for or were misdiagnosing. I’m sure those Posts helped a fair few people and saved them money too.

Thanks for the helpful replies. I’m still having same problem though if I open the drivers door and then reset the alarm it seems to help. Anyway will take it to Honda.

In the first instance I would suggest you select the switch which turns off the internal sensors when leaving the car and before setting the alarm. If the alarm still sounds then at least you will have isolated the internal sensors out of the equation.
