Upgrading to Garmin Satnav

Evening All, As my HR-V has GPS for the Parking and Fuel apps, but not inbuilt satnav, was just curious if owners could contact either Honda UK or Garmin to upgrade the Head Unit to incorporating Garmin satnav? I have tried to use Mirrorlink but only get as far as the system recognising I have conne...

Re: Upgrading Bulbs to LED

Just upgraded the reversing lights to LED. 1. The owners manual states on page 526 to use a flat tipped screwdriver wrapped in a cloth to pry/remove the cover. I had to use two trim removal tools to get enough leverage to prise them open. 2. The OSR was a little difficult to remove. 3. The NSF was a...

Hooks Are Not Just for Pirates....

Evening All, This afternoon I somehow managed to drop an indicator bulb into the indicator housing. I could have sworn I heard it click into place, but then again,,, Anyway, after putting a fair amount of dosh into the local Swear Box I remembered I had a magnetic claw with LED light (£8 Halfords!),...

Re: Sill Protectors bling bling

Evening All, As per one of my previous posts, the front passenger door sill of my vehicle had so many scratches on it I began to think it had been rented out as an ice rink. A local bodyshop have assessed it and advised to buy sill protectors. Fortunately I had bought a set off Amazon a few months b...

Re: Weathertech Floor Liner

Okay, I'll answer my own question. Well I am at that stage in life when you tend to start to talk to yourself.... I pulled the trigger and bought a set. Although the area the mats cover is more substantial than the Honda Rubber Lipped mats, there are little gaps adjacent to the door sills for dirt a...

Re: Security Alarm sounding

@Geoffers, unfortunately it is different rules in Scotland. We are officially still restricted to travelling no more than 5 miles. I'll let you decide for yourself if that is actually the case... @Tricks Some things to think about; Set up a video camera or an old moblie to record your car to see if ...

Re: Security Alarm sounding

How about taking it to the garage. Don't know where you or the OP live, but car dealerships around me are closed and are officially only supposed to carry out servicing and repairs to those classed as Essential Workers. Re: Is the 1.5 iVTEC a Naturally Noisy Engine?

Thanks for the info, John. I've noticed as I've been driving the car more the '3 cylinder' thrum is only really apparent whilst accelerating. I'm hoping this is normal, as I really quite like it. I'm only querying it as I thought a petrol engine would be a little bit more refined. Another indicator ...
