Re: CVT Fluid Change

Thank you Rich (I'm guessing you're Rich (in name)) The Sealey Tool you mention looks a great item, 500ml too, I guess not too bad for the whole compliment of 4 litres. The filler hole cap, is impossible to remove and replace without removing the air filter and it's casing etc, let alone fill there,...

Re: CVT Fluid Change

Oh well ! I guess nobody has done it themselves. Should I post some instructions when I've done it ? or do you all want to use the garage ? I'll be doing it as soon as I reach 25,000 and the weather is a bit dryer and warmer. I'd like some help on posting pictures on here too, I've failed dismally s...

CVT Fluid Change

Has anybody changed their own CVT fluid ? I have decided to do this myself and have bought the correct fluid (4 litres HCF-2) Draining and level plug appears to be straightforward but access to the fill point looks difficult to say the least. Has anyone else done this with any tips please ? It looks...

Re: Why are HR-V's so rare ?

Thank you for those interesting comments and information. I'm not aware of the range of types in detail, so have just looked in the V5 and it says...... HR-V EXI-VTEC CVT it's a 1.5 litre petrol with auto transmission. I feel it has more than everything I could wish for and my first autobox after 55...

Why are HR-V's so rare ?

I bought my HR-V second hand last September 2019 and have covered a few thousand miles in it since. I'm delighted with it, think it's a great car all round, but, what amazes me is how few of them there are around. I have only seen 2 others on the road and one parked since last September. I just can'...

Re: Dash Cam wiring

I'm hard wiring my dashcam (my car is keyless) to the interior fusebox under the dashboard drivers side. Position 38 is vacant but has fuse contacts so I'm fitting a piggback fuseholder there (supply ignition live is the contact nearest the centre of the fuses) and connecting the Nextbase cable ther...

Re: Garmin map update available.

It's probably a stupid question...........am I right in thinking a 32gb USB stick is good for the job or does it actually need to be 16gb ?

Well if your'e not sure............just ask, it matters not if others laugh !
