Re: HRV country of manufacture I.D.

The first letter of the VIN indicates the country of origin. J = Japan for example.

All explained here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_i ... ion_number

Re: USB Loading problem

Take the music off that you recently added and try again with it containing just the original files.

Re: Batteries & Stop Start

I try not to walk too much these days. Don't want my legs to stop working when I get old ;) .

Re: Batteries & Stop Start

Mine works flawlessly all year round but I can confirm what John said
one of the checks is only done when the vehicle is initially started on a trip. If that check fails then S/S won't work on that trip
In that case, if you switch off and start up again, it continues to work.

Re: Infotainment volume with satnav

Re: New HRV Owner just got home from collecting

To use the Cruise Control Speed Limiter go to 2:21 on this video; I don't use it as there have been times I've had to accelerate above the speed limit to avoid an RTI. In one incident by accelerating I was able to drive around the vehicle that suddenly veered onto my side of the road. If I had brak...

Re: HR-v 2016 1.5 petrol cruise control speed to resume

I just tested mine. Set at 40 and cancelled. Slowed to 25 and resumed. It picked back up to 40 in a few seconds, initially accelerating fairly hard.

So I think you have an issue with yours.

Re: To Extend the Warranty, Or Not?

Is it an early 2018 (pre facelift), made in Mexico? Mine is a late 2018 made in Japan. Touch wood, not a single issue. Stop/Start works like a dream.

Re: To Extend the Warranty, Or Not?

I had extended warranty on a CR-V about 10 years ago and the front-to-rear differential failed, which meant it was only front wheel driven. That got fixed as part of the warranty otherwise, the dealer told me, it would have cost some £1,600.00 for the part alone. You pay your money and you take your...

Re: Accessing Service Reminder System and Non Routine Service Items

Firstly the main mistake that most people make. Be sure that the handbrake is on. A lot of menu items are not available with the handbrake off, to ensure you are not doing it while driving. Mine is a facelift model (December 2018) and it does have it. Did you look in the service book as most informa...
